This is so you can shut off the incoming cooling water to Drain the cooling system in cold months if you aren't pulling the boat from the water , this will also allow you to change your impeller or raw water pump without Pulling the boat , Perfect for big Diesels or Houseboats that don't come out of the water often . Bolt it on get back on the water
